Top ten records of 2007

Just as last year, it’s time to take a look at my favorite albums released in 2007. And the winners are…

  1. Nine Inch Nails – Year Zero

  3. Combichrist – What The Fuck is Wrong With You People?
  4. Air – Pocket Symphony
  5. Björk – Volta
  6. Emigrate – Emigrate
  7. Cirkus – Laylower
  8. Tom McRae – King of Cards
  9. Kent – Tillbaka till samtiden
  10. SITD – Bestie:Mench

I’ve been listening to quite a few albums in 2007. Not quite making it to Top Ten are nice albums such as

  • PJ Harvey – White Chalk
  • Dave Gahan – Hourglass
  • Asombria – Base ii
  • Marilyn Manson – Eat Me Drink Me
  • Rabia Sorda – Metodos Del Caos
  • Familjen – Det snurrar i min skalle
  • Depressive Art – Bye Bye Dear Everything

  • Recoil – subHuman
  • Grendel – Harsch Generation
  • Radiohead – In Rainbows
  • Mr Jones Machine – Återvändsgränd

  • Erasure – Light at the End of the World
  • Vive la Fete – Jour de Chance
  • Smashing Pumpkins – Zeitgeist

…and more. Some have been excluded, such as remix albums. For instance, the NIN remix album “Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D” had some really good tracks but only remixes.

Interesting, there’s a lot of albums on your list that I’ve missed. Have to look them up now.
    Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you!
Earlier today I had a look at some (mostly mainstream) of the upcoming releases in the coming months and found roughly ten records I’m curious to find out more about.
Listening to some new stuff from Hot Chip now, sounds nice.

I haven’t heard the new single from Hot Chip but The Warning was a fine album, so I’ll be watching out for Made In The Dark.
