Cairo

Above the mother of the world

Cairo is the largest city in Africa and home to 15 million souls. The city's silhouette is jagged with minarets, drowning the audio landscape with chanting prayers, adding upp to the already ambient noise from the rough traffic. In the narrow streets below is the old razzle dazzle ever present, from the mud-brick houses to the guttering bazaar of Khan el Khalili. At the far horizon there is a glimpse of the mighty pyramids of Giza.
