Even though I released a book earlier this year called Here Be No Dragons, I must confess that I do enjoy a good dragon or two. So I found myself going up the steep dirt road through Sani Pass in a dirty jeep to look for them.
My travel book “Här finns inga drakar” was released about a week ago. It’s been a wild ride to work on it for so many years and I’m thrilled to finally be able to share it with everyone.
I am happy to announce the release of my book “Här finns inga drakar” (Here be no dragons). After many years of work it has finally been completed. The book contains 300 pages with assorted accounts of my travels during three decades, a lot of countries and even more cups of coffee.
During my travels I’ve seen a lot of statues depicting dragons. Saint Georg and the dragon is a popular motif all over Europe. I especially liked the dragons of Ljubljana, where I crossed the Dragon bridge and saw the city emblem feature a dragon.
I’m currently in the capital of Ljubljana, Slovenia. While cities such as Bratislava have been depicted as nightmares in movies as Hostel and Eurotrip, Ljubljana is probably so far off the mental map that it rarely gets mentioned at all in western popular culture.
