Best concerts of 2008
I tend to visit a lot of live concerts, since most bands manage to create something special on stage that make them come alive, in a way never achieved by the flat compact discs. Here are some of my favorite concerts during 2008.
Driving across Scotland
We came, we saw, we scarfed down haggis like maniacs. Over two hundred kilometers in seven days, chasing the horizon through cities, forgotten villages and empty landscapes where the only traffic jams were wandering sheep.
Yazoo in Glasgow
I rolled into Glasgow after a couple of hours on the road from Edinburgh, crossing Scotland through rolling green hills under skies that looked permanently undecided. The River Clyde cut through the city like an old scar, and after a short walk across the Millennium Bridge I found myself standing outside the Clyde Auditorium.
