We reached Glasgow after a few hours drive from Edinburgh. Got the room opposite number 666 at a hotel and went down to The Quay for a quick meal at Frankie & Benny’s.

The Armadillo, Glasgow The Armadillo.

Walked along the river Clyde passing the Tall Ship Glenlee, across the Millennium Bridge to “The Armadillo”, as the venue Clyde Auditorium is nicknamed.

Inside the venue we met up with some friends from Sweden and suffered the warmup band called Merz.

Fortunately the main band Yazoo were great! Alison Moyet still got a killer voice and Vince Clarke is simply Vince Clarke.

I remembered when I first heard Yazoo in the early 1980s. I got their 1982 debut album Upstairs at Eric’s on vinyl and really liked the sound. Didn’t expect to see them live in Glasgow over two decades later.
