It’s been a bleak autumn for Gothenburg’s alternative scene. First came the all-too-early demise of my favorite club Plasticity. Then, one after another, Spacelab, Killing Music and Synthbar also disappeared.

Plasticity has been a fixture of Gothenburg’s alternative scene since 2000, calling Kompaniet home under the watchful eye of Henrik Wittgren, the man behind Synthbar, Electropolis, Saturn and enough club nights to keep generations of black-clad insomniacs happily sleep-deprived.
