It feels good to be back in Turin, even though the smog is worse than ever due to the cold weather inversion and coal-fueled heritage. The streets are sparsely populated this dark evening, since the air is cold and spring is still a distant memory.

The corona virus is spreading throughout the world like a wildfire. My thoughts goes to all the affected countries in these troubled times. The nation being worst hit in Europe at the moment is Italy.

The Vatican City State is the smallest state in the world, confined by the bustling metropolis of Rome. We made our way to St. Peter’s Square where a large crowd had gathered surrounded by the imposing pillars.
It feels good to be back in the eternal city of Rome. The streets are more noisy and crowded than ever, but there are several Christmas markets still around to ease it up. Even though it’s a bit chilly, the sun is out and the city streets are vibrant.
