Welcome to King’s Landing

I’m back in Croatia and I’m currently staying in beautiful Dubrovnik. But to fans of the series Game of Thrones, the city is better known as King’s Landing, capital of the Seven Kingdoms. During the first season, many of the exterior scenes were shot in Mdina, former capital of Malta. But due to various complications the filming later moved to Dubrovnik.

Sunsets at the Adriatic Sea

I just got back from Croatia where I went for many walks along the Adriatic Sea, looking at the sunset and thinking back on the history of these waters. The eastern shore of the sea, which is today Croatia, was once inhabited by Illyrians. After a short colonization by the Greeks, it was time for the Romans to enter.
