Raiding Algeciras

The city of Algeciras have sometimes been called the most ugly town in Spain. Even though the harbor area is a disaster due to the refinery, I can think of far worse places.

From another angle, the Northmen of TV series Vikings raided the city in season 4. This was a callback to the raiding of 859 AD, where the real-life Björn Ironside supposedly besieged the city.

And the cranes are lovely. With open eyes, it’s possible to find beauty and adventure everywhere.
