Suddenly I find myself spending the autumn months in Stockholm, a cold but beautiful city. Even though I’ve been here countless times during the last 30 years, I still find new places and I love exploring the crooked alleys and hidden paths lurking around the corners.
For example, Monteliusvägen is a small path which offers a great view of central Stockholm.
Nearby is the gothic Mariahissen from 1885 as well as interesting architecture.
The Old Town never gets old, so to speak. I have been roaming these narrow alleys for decades, but I still manage to find something new here and there. I wave to my old friends, the dragons perched on the tower of the German Church, as I head down the very narrow steps of Mårten Trotzigs gränd.
Soon the annual Christmas fair at Stortorget will open and people will appear like a train of lemmings, but tonight the alleys are empty and all mine.
