Today it was hot enough to fry an egg on the Frihamnen pier. And that’s before you factor in 20 000 of your closest metalheads packed shoulder-to-shoulder, all dressed in black, sweating like kitchen staff at a Saturday lunch rush.

There are few things that get under my skin quite like a big city. Give me buildings piled against buildings, streets disappearing into questionable neighborhoods, broken neon, exhaust fumes, food I can’t identify and several million people apparently late for something.
Noise at work
Open-plan offices are one of those modern ideas that probably sounded brilliant on someone’s PowerPoint slide. In reality they are an endless symphony of annoying ringtones, loud keyboard warriors, pointless meetings held three meters away, and that one colleague who somehow manages to eat an entire bag of crisps before lunch.
