    Augustinerbräu is the oldest brewery in Munich, founded in 1328. They are said to have the best Helles anywhere.

    The famous brewery was founded in 1589. When Swedish king Gustav II Adolf invaded Bavaria in 1632, he threatened to burn the entire city of München unless he received 600 000 barrels of beer from Hofbräuhaus.
