Castellfollit de la Roca is a medieval village built on top of a 50 meter high rock, surrounded by the rivers Fluvià and Toronell. There is a great view from the top of the square bell tower of the Church of Sant Salvador.

  • No sudden movements

The town is situated on a basalt formation, the result of river erosion of the lava from ancient volcanic eruptions which sculpted the rock. The 13th century church of Sant Salvador is dominating the skyline.
