Spain - Roadtrip in Costa Brava

Going through Banyoles, Castellfollit de la Roca, Cadaques, Santa Pau, Girona, Olot and more.

  • The only road to Cadaques is several hours of narrow hillside road draped across the mountain range. Sound like fun!

[Hanna and Pär overlooking the canyon above Roses]

  • The village of Cadaques is situated on a bay near the Cap de Creus peninsula. Salvador Dali had a house here, and when you see the view, you understand why.

    [Cadaques]

  • After a long day of driving, this is how happy we are of getting within visual range of our target.

    [Reine and Pär above Cadaques]

  • Lovely view from the dinner table.

  • Castellfollit de la Roca is a medieval village built on top of a 50 meter high rock, surrounded by the rivers Fluvià and Toronell. It's a basalt formation, the result of river erosion of the lava from ancient volcanic eruptions which sculpted the rock. This view is from the top of the square bell tower of the Church of Sant Salvador.
