Manhattan elsewhere

For all of you who share my love for both Manhattan and digital maps, I want direct your attention to Jason Kottke’s latest project: Manhattan Elsewhere.

He visually compares the size of Manhattan to several other major US cities. For instance, have a look at San Francisco vs Manhattan. Even though I’ve walked across both cities, I didn’t realize just how big Manhattan really is. It feels a bit smaller due to its geography.
